TAUKS COMMAND · LINEUP STRATEGY

Replacement Timing

The newest ant is not automatically the right replacement. TAUKS compares the ant you have now with the ant you can actually build now.

QUICK ANSWER

Replace a proven ant when the replacement is developed enough to improve the lineup's actual job.

NOW

Current performance

Start with the stars, skills, awakening, role, and battle evidence of the ant already in the lineup.

NEXT

Buildable replacement

Judge the new ant at the development level you can reach—not at a theoretical maxed-out ceiling.

FIT

Formation improvement

The change should improve role balance, position fit, matchup performance, or another measurable weakness.

REPLACEMENT GATES

Use these gates before moving a new ant into the main lineup.

Development gateIs the new ant far enough along in stars and key skills to perform its intended role?
Role gateDoes the new ant solve a missing or weak function rather than merely duplicate an existing role?
Position gateCan the new ant work from the required Front, Middle, or Back position based on verified range and survival needs?
Evidence gateDo verified skills, battle reports, or controlled testing support the change?
Cost gateIs the improvement large enough to justify the resources lost by developing the replacement?

COMMON MISTAKES

Replacement errors usually come from comparing theory with reality.

Season-label replacementNewer season does not guarantee stronger practical performance at low development.
Equal-star assumptionTwo ants may look very different when one is 7–8★ and the other is 0–1★.
One-report conclusionA single fight can reveal clues, but matchup and RNG can make one report too weak to prove a permanent replacement.
Role-blind swapReplacing a support or control ant with another damage ant may increase one number while weakening the formation.

PFF · HYBRID · PTP

Replacement timing changes with development speed.

PFFKeep highly developed older ants until the replacement clearly reaches a usable threshold and solves a real weakness.
HybridReplace sooner when selective spending can close the development gap without weakening another priority area.
PTPNew ants can reach viable development quickly, but role fit and three-ant synergy still determine whether the swap is worthwhile.

CONTROLLED TEST

When possible, change one variable at a time.

  1. Keep the same insect, troop count, troop type, and event/target.
  2. Keep two of the three Special Ants unchanged.
  3. Run several baseline attempts to estimate normal variation.
  4. Swap only the candidate replacement.
  5. Compare total damage, skill damage, skills used, troop damage, survivability, and any control/healing evidence available.
  6. Repeat before making a permanent resource decision.
