ANTS SCHOOLHOUSE · ACCOUNT DEVELOPMENT

Progression Basics

Progression is not just chasing the newest ant. The strongest practical upgrade is the one that improves your actual account without wasting scarce resources.

QUICK ANSWER

Improve the weakest important part of your lineup first.

1

Start with what you own

A fully buildable lineup is usually more useful than an ideal formation that depends on ants you do not have or cannot develop yet.

2

Protect proven investments

Older high-star ants can remain valuable. Replace them only when the new option is developed enough and improves the formation's actual job balance.

3

Spend for measurable gains

Stars, awakening, insects, troop development, evolution, and skill investment all compete for resources. Upgrade where the return is clearest.

LEARN MORE

A practical progression order.

1. Stable lineupBuild a coherent three-ant formation with compatible class, position, and roles before chasing marginal upgrades.
2. Core developmentRaise the ants that will remain useful long enough to justify stars, skill upgrades, and awakening investment.
3. Troop and account supportImprove troop tier, evolution, insect support, and relevant buffs so the ants are not carrying an underdeveloped march alone.
4. Replace only with evidenceUse battle reports, verified skill mechanics, and real-account testing before spending heavily on a replacement.

PRACTICAL CHECK

Before committing scarce resources, ask these.

  1. Will this ant remain in one of my main lineups?
  2. Is the ant's current star level high enough to perform its intended role?
  3. Does awakening materially improve that role?
  4. Is another position in the formation a bigger weakness?
  5. Would troop, insect, or evolution upgrades create a larger account-wide gain?
  6. Can I test the change before making the full investment?

PFF · HYBRID · PTP

The progression path changes with spending style.

PFF — Play For FreePrioritize efficient, durable investments and avoid replacing developed ants for small theoretical gains.
HybridUse selective spending to accelerate high-value bottlenecks while keeping most development resource-efficient.
PTP — Pay To PlayNewer high-ceiling ants can become practical sooner, but lineup fit, stars, awakening, and testing still matter.
